Over time, we have produced a number of short, humorous videos as teaching tools or just to provide a different perspective on life.

Some of these videos are part of a series, while others are short drama skits to reinforce a sermon topic.

We have had so much fun producing videos that we have created a production company called Hooduhthunkit Productions (it's not really a registered company, but it looks good on the opening and closing credits of our videos) ;-)

Just select the video to view - a short explanation will be included on the page to place it in context.

40 Days of Purpose Video Series - 40 Days of Purpose

In late 2004, our church participated in the 40 Days Of Purpose spiritual growth campaign based on the famous book "The Purpose Driven Life" by Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback church in Southern California.

Our Pastor Larry Rogers approached a few of us and requested a short video each week for a total of 8 weeks to help introduce and reinforce the 40 Days Of Purpose theme. We had a low-end camcorder, a tripod, and lots of enthusiasm, and the LLBF Technical Ministry was born!

We used some scripts provided by the drama team from Saddleback church, and customized them to fit our particular situation. The video series was shot in a ridiculously short time frame, and it shows. We were barely able to keep up with the weekly deadlines as we finalized scripts, recruited cast and crew, shot footage, edited, and burned to DVD. We cringe at some of the material, and really appreciate how far we have come since then.

What a great way to bring a bunch of people together to accomplish a goal, becoming a close-knit team in the process!

We hope you enjoy this walk down memory lane...

Meet the Rogers' gang! We love to hike, play tennis, ride on our Yamaha Wave Runners, go to the zoo and laugh together. Our greatest desire is to honor the Lord Jesus in everything we do, we try to get better at it each day and we are enjoying the adventures along the way.

As the Senior Pastor for Light and Life Bible Fellowship, my goal is to fulfill the Ephesians 4 mandate to equip God's people for the work He has prepared for them. I am compelled to teach the Bible with applicable illustrations from real life experience and to be biblically sound & relavent for today's generation.

The Technical Ministry Team is having a blast playing with the latest technology as we support many activities within our church.

We are there when people need multimedia video presentations, sound reinforcement, lighting, and video recording of various events, including every Sunday morning service.

We have state-of-the-art video editing hardware and software, and broadcast Pastor Larry's sermons twice a week on the local Thurston County Community Television cable channel.

We are currently gearing up to provide kiosk computer workstations for Internet Cafe access within our church building so those who may not have broadband can still access our church community online.

What We Believe About . . . - What We Believe

. . . The Bible

The sole basis of our belief is the Bible, composed of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments. We believe that the Scripture in its entirety originated with God, and that it was given through the instrumentality of chosen men. Scripture thus at one and the same time speaks with the authority of God and reflects the backgrounds, styles, and vocabularies of the human authors. We hold that the Scriptures are infallible and inerrant in the original manuscripts. They are the unique, full, and final authority on all matters of faith and practice; and there are no other writings similarly inspired by God. (2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:19-21)

. . . God

We believe that there is one true, holy God, eternally existing in three persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-each of Whom possesses equally all the attributes of deity and characteristics of personality. In the beginning God created out of nothing the world and all the things therein, thus manifesting the glory of His power, wisdom, and goodness. By His providence he is operating throughout history to fulfill His redemptive purposes - concerning Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, hearing and answering prayer, and saving from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Matthew 3:16,17; John 16:23-27; Galatians 4:4-6; Ephesians 1:3, 17-23)

. . . Salvation

The central purpose of God's revelation in Scripture is to call all people into fellowship with Himself. Originally created to have fellowship with God, man defied God, choosing to go his independent way, and was thus alienated from God and suffered the corruption of his nature, rendering him unable to please God. The fall took place at the beginning of human history, and all individuals since have suffered these consequences and are thus in need of the saving grace of God. The salvation of mankind is then an entire work of God's free grace, not the result in whole or in part of human works or goodness, and must be personally appropriated by repentance and faith. When God has begun a saving work in the heart of any person, He gives assurance in His word that He will continue performing until the day of its full consummation.. (Romans 3:23, 5:12-21, 6:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 1:12, 3:3-7)

. . . Jesus Christ

Jesus is the eternal second Person of the Trinity who was united forever with a true human nature by a miraculous conception and virgin birth. He lived a life of perfect obedience to the Father and voluntarily atoned for the sins of all by dying on the cross as their substitute, thus satisfying divine justice and accomplishing salvation for all who trust in Him alone. He rose from the dead in the same body, though glorified, in which He lived and died. He ascended into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of the Father, where He, the only Mediator between God and man, continually makes intercession for those who belong to Him. He shall come again to earth, personally and visibly, to consummate history and the eternal plan of God. (Matthew 1:18-23; Luke 24:1-8; 2 Corinthians 5:19-21; Hebrews 4:14-16, 7:24-25; Revelation 19:1 - 20:15)

. . . Christian Life and the Holy Spirit

The essential accompaniment of a genuine saving relationship with Jesus Christ is a life of holiness and obedience, attained by believers as they submit to the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity. He was sent into the world by the Father and the Son to apply to mankind the saving work of Christ. He enlightens the minds of sinners, awakens in them a recognition of their need of a Savior, and regenerates them. At the point of salvation, He permanently indwells every believer to become the source of assurance, strength, and wisdom, and uniquely endows each believer with gifts for the building up of the church body. The Holy Spirit guides believers in understanding and applying the Scripture. His power and control are appropriated by faith, making it possible for the believer to lead a life of Christlike character and to bear fruit to the glory of the Father. (John 14:15-17, 25, 26, 16:5-15; 1 Corinthians 12:4-13) See the Book of Discipline, chapter three for further scriptural references concerning the Christian life style of members.

. . . Human Destiny

Death seals the eternal destiny of each person. For all mankind, there will be a resurrection of the body into the spiritual world, and a judgement that will determine the fate of each individual. Unbelievers will be separated from God into condemnation. God's judgement will reveal His justice in consigning them to perpetuate in eternal retribution their own rejection of God. Believers will be received into eternal communion with God and will be rewarded for works done in this life. (Hebrews 9:27; 1 Corinthians 15:12-23; Revelation 20:11-22:6)

. . . The Church

The corollary of union with Jesus Christ is that all believers become members of His body, the church. There is one true church universal, comprised of all those who acknowledge Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The scripture commands believers to gather together to devote themselves to worship, prayer, teaching of the Word, observance of baptism, and communion as the sacramentarian ordinances established by Jesus Christ. It is also to gather for fellowship, service to the body through the development and use of talents and gifts, and outreach to the world. The local expression of the church is found wherever God's people meet regularly in obedience to this command. . Under the watchcare of elders and other supportive leadership, its members are to work together in love and unity, intent on the one ultimate purpose of glorifying God. (Hebrews 10:24,25; Acts 2:42-47; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Colossians 1:18; Hebrews 13:17)

. . . Faith and PracticeScripture is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. This church recognizes that it cannot bind the conscience of individual members in areas where scripture is silent. Rather, each believer is to be led in those areas by the Lord, to Whom he or she is ultimately responsible. (1 Corinthians 8, 9; Romans 14)

We believe this statement of Faith to be in agreement with the Free Methodist Book of Discipline and is an accurate summary of what Scripture teaches. All members shall refrain from advocating doctrines that are not included in the Statement of Faith in such a way as to cause dissension.
